The Lord My Healer

My last news was about selling my house and moving. Since then, my house is under contract. and I will be moving nearer to family. Gratitude for the blessing overwhelms my heart. But I am most grateful for healing.

A weekend trip to visit family was such a delight. I enjoyed seeing my loved ones more than I can describe. After I got home, I came down with COVID-19. Today I can testify that my God is faithful to heal because I have survived.

This disease is not fun. Its possible symptoms are many. I was blessed to be limited in my response. Thirty days after onset, I am recovered except for a cough and limited energy. I forced myself to not lie in bed all day while it was active, probably helping to ward off pneumonia. I had no real breathing difficulties, sparing me from any hospitalization. Wisdom to hydrate and eat whether I wanted to or not kept me from further problems. I did lose 15 pounds in the first 14 days, but I kept moving and doing activities of daily living, even if they were as minimal as possible.

Thank God that grocery pickup/delivery are available in my area. At the worst, I was able to replenish my foodstuffs without leaving home.

Friends and family kept in touch regularly and I never felt like I was completely out of touch. I knew help was a phone call away with church family.

God will certainly restore my energy in time to complete my move. He has ordained this change and will be faithful to enable me to accomplish all that needs to be done, as well as to drive to my new city. Remembering His Word today and thankful:

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
