New vision is mine!

I am exceedingly happy to announce that God has proved Himself faithful to me once again. My cataract surgery was very successful. As many others have said, I didn’t know how much my vision was impaired until the day after surgery when everything began to clear and I could see!

His faithfulness wasn’t just about my vision. I had an eye nodule removed last year before cataract surgery could be undertaken and the anesthesia used made me very ill and gave me headache for several days. I was miserable and desperately wanted to avoid it this time. Another anesthesiologist was on duty, listened closely to my issues from last time, confirmed the drug used and changed it. This experience was much improved and I am healing from the surgery itself without problems from the anesthesia.

Warning from my brother as a result of his medication reactions also put me on notice. My ophthalmologic surgeon has been great at selecting medications that do not contain potential hazards based on my own allergies and my brother’s problems.

Trusting God’s timing for events in my life is an ongoing lesson. He has reinforced His accuracy and timeliness yet again. Other issues in my life also seem to be closer to resolution, and my vision improvement encourages me. He is working on those challenges and will be on time with their outcomes as well.

I’m spending today rejoicing that I can accomplish a few tasks and that my vision is improved instead of being in a chair or bed feeling miserable as occurred last time. I believe I will even feel well enough tomorrow to have time for a very special friend whom I miss dearly.

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.
