I listened to a message this weekend from a godly woman who has been involved in ministry for many years. She challenged us to say ‘yes’ to God when He interrupts our plans.
This blog is my ‘yes.’ I have been writing a piece of fiction for what seems to be a long time and thought it was what I wanted to publish first.
But when I read Michael Hyatt’s book “Platform,” I realized that my life message about why spending time with God is important was where I was to start with writing.
I started writing journals for years ago after an older woman challenged me to leave a legacy for those who come after me. Writing down what I’ve learned from and about God and His ways has altered the course of my life so many times. Somehow, if I write down what I learn, I integrate it into my soul and it changes my life.
As I listened last evening to Christine Caine, I realized that I had agreed with God when I began this blog, that He had truly directed my steps down this path to exposing who I am and what I believe and know to the world through it. May He always use it for His purpose and for His glory. I only ask for grace to continually take the risk of being real through this very public forum.
