Just this Sunday, I wrote that I had experienced release from worry and fear.
Last evening, I got news that one challenging situation in a family member’s life has been compounded.
I waited for the usual panic to set in. There was a slight stirring of concern but the rock in the pit of the stomach did not come back. Although I did try to phone a friend to pray about the situation, she was not available and I just went to bed. I slept well and awoke this morning rested and ready for the day.
The scripture I had been reading regularly has been made real to me:
1 Pet 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully. AMP
Today I rejoice that the process of changing me continues and advances.
God is faithful.
